Khaja Banda Nawaz College of Engineering was established in the year 1980 by Padmashreeawardee Late Dr.Syed Shah Mohammed Mohammadul Hussaini (R.H) with the view to promote Technical education in the Northeast part of Karnataka in general and the Minority  community in particular. Now the college is run under the inspiring guidance of Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini. The college has seven Undergraduate courses, two Post graduate courses and a Research and Development cell.
